Between $1000-$1500 depending on the choice of accommodation (this includes $300 to sponsor a student for one year).
Flights
Flights from Cairns to LA return - $2000 (approx.)
Flights to Guatemala City from LA return - $900 (approx.)
You don't have to book flights with Children of the Lake but everyone must be in Antigua by Sunday 27 December to start the tour.
Additional Costs
The additional costs whist you are in Guatemala will be as much or as little as you wish to spend.
For those staying in hotels you will need to budget at the very most $15 per day for food. There are kitchen facilities available if you want to cook for yourself or just buy food for breakfast and lunch.
Additional activities such as horse riding or kayaking will cost approximately $2 an hour.
A massage will cost approximately $15 for 45 minutes.
Taking a boat trip around the lake will cost you about $5.
Alcohol in the bars will cost you approximately $2 for a rum and coke and $4.50 for 1 litre of bottled beer.
